Asantewaa, a Tiktok celebrity and actress, claims she stopped promoting music because independent artists are broke and unable to pay for her services.

She claimed that despite the fact that some of her fellow TikTokers promote music, all she does is enjoy good music in a recent interview on Accra FM’s Ayekoo.

Due to her large following and the number of views her most-posted videos receive, the influencer was one of those most frequently used to promote music on the TikTok app back in 2022.

She claims that she stopped producing such content because musicians can no longer afford her services because her brand is now established.

She continued by saying that she wouldn’t accept payment for these services, even if she were given GHC 10,000.

She continued by saying that although some artists continue to contact her management to request her services, she no longer provides entertainment for them because they lack funds,

She acknowledged that she and a fellow TikTok star once used GHS3000 to promote a song, adding that, “now, we’ve increased the fee,” because “the brand is solid.”

That notwithstanding, “even if you give us GHS10 billion, we still won’t do it,” she clarified.

“I have stopped,” she stressed. “My colleagues still do it; Wesley and co, but I have stopped.”

In addition, Asantewaa described herself as “salt” and thus, when she is not part of a promotional drive “it is not sweet.”

Even though she no longer promotes songs, she stated that she would not hesitate to use one that she finds “enjoyable” on her social media.

She assured Nana Romeo that even in the absence of her salt, the proverbial soup will still be “nice.” The industry would have to adapt to the circumstances.

Relatively, Asantewaa has encouraged women in the entertainment industry to follow their passions as she discusses her marriage and career.

Asantewaa has explained the significance of trust-building in relationships for public figures while discussing marriage. This, in her opinion, enables the development of a solidly healthy relationship.

While some men are quick to interfere in their partner’s career out of concern for irresistible cheating temptations, Asantewaa noted that her husband has never talked her out of acting during a conversation with Kwaku Manu on the “Aggressive Show.”
