Andy Dosty, host of a radio program, has blatantly stated his reasons for refusing to promote Shatta Wale‘s most recent album, “Maali.”
The text message from a listener during Andy’s show on Hitz FM stated that the album was selling well but that no one was talking about it.
After reading the text, Andy expressed rage toward the sender and Shatta Wale, claiming that the musician had made crude remarks about his (Andy Dosty) mother on stage.
“You want me to talk about it? An artiste that stands on stage and insults my mother and talks anyhow and foolishly to my mother, and you want me to what?” he exclaimed.
He reaffirmed his love and respect for his mother and said that because of his upbringing, he would never speak ill of a mother.
“If you don’t have sense, I do. If you don’t respect, don’t come here. The woman who gave birth to me has lived a good life and has a good place to live,” he added.
Shatta Wale’s rude behavior was criticized by Andy, who also noted that people don’t take him seriously and instead support his foolish ways.
He also criticized people who wanted to advertise on his show without showing him or his mother any respect.
“That’s all I have said. I love my mother, and nobody, nobody… I won’t speak ill of anyone’s mother; she raised me well. You can fool around. The fooling is too much in this country.
“You will be sitting there, and they will want to come and sit here and say they want to promote their stuff. What do you want to promote? If that woman didn’t give birth to me, where would you know me from? Foolish guy,” Andy Dosty said
Abeiku Santana and Andy Dosty were in attendance at a concert that Shatta Wale had earlier insulted while it was taking place in Takoradi on February 4, 2023.
Shatta claimed that the two media figures were always biased against him and denigrated his work.
The dancehall performer took a break in the middle of his set to say that some people, including Andy Dosty and Abeiku Santana, were trying to break his unbreakable record of appearing on Beyonce’s song by substituting Sarkodie’s Bob Marley feature.
While addressing the crowd, the dancehall performer insulted the mothers of the two media figures and hurled insults at them.
