The Central Regional Secretary of the NDC, Gabriel Nii Kommey Adams, issued and signed a statement that stated the vetting would take place from April 3, 2023, to April 5, 2023.

“The Vetting is scheduled for Monday, April 3rd to Wednesday 5th April 2023 and would begin at 9 am prompt each day at the Regional Party Secretariat in Cape Coast.

There would be balloting for successful aspirants immediately after the vetting for the primary. The Vetting would be conducted by a five (5) member vetting committee constituted by the National Executive Committee (NEC) to determine the eligibility or otherwise of all aspirants with one representative from NEC, two from the Regional Executive Body, a Lawyer appointed by the NEC from the Legal Committee of the Party and one member of the Regional Council of Elders and with Frontline Constituency Executive Committee members in attendance.

The vetting committee shall communicate its decisions to each aspirant after the vetting. Qualified aspirants shall ballot for positions on the ballot paper immediately after the vetting process.

After the vetting, aspirants with issues with the vetting process or decision could appeal to the Appeals Committee from Monday 10th April to Monday 17th April 2023.

All aspirants would be made to sign a declaration form to be committed, dedicated and determined to accept the outcome of the vetting and the primary without resorting to any legal or court litigation.
