The Ghana National Gas Company (GNGC) is performing maintenance work at Atuabo, which has resulted in a shortfall in power generation, according to the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG).
As a result, the ECG has published a load management schedule for the hours of 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. on Thursday, March 30, through Friday, April 7.
The Ministry of Energy said in a statement that it is consistent with the “Dum Siesie” program, which aims to guarantee a reliable power supply through necessary and effective maintenance activities.

However, the Ministry has noted that additional gas, including heavy fuel oil (HFO) and light crude oil (LCO), is being purchased from Nigeria in order to mitigate the effects of the shutdown.
