Popular Nigerian Stand-up comedian Bright Okpocka popularl known as Basketmouth has announced his forthcoming album which features one of Ghana’s top musician.
Basketmouth speaking in an interview on Hitz FM with Andy Dosty disclosed that his upcoming album features Dancehall artist Shatta Wale.
“Shatta Wale is currently on my next album. It is a just interesting how everything is happening. Like this whole Ghana integration of myself and you guys,” he revealed.
Detailing his encounter with the “On God” hitmaker revealed his unprecedented support his work and professional attitude.
The popular comedian described Shatta Wale as a brother as he thanked him for blessing him with a verse on his song at no charge.

“I have known Shatta wale for a while but we’ve not had the opportunity to talk properly. I told him I was working on an album and I’d love him to jump on. I sent the song to him and he loved it. He was done with it in a few hours and sent his verse and nailed it.”
“The guy said something interesting. He said it is for free, I don’t need to pay him royalty or anything. Take it, it is yours. Nobody has ever done that before and I think it is a Ghanaian brother doing that. It made me very humble. I am loving what is going on now in my life,” the comedian hailed the Cash Out crooner who recently dropped an album titled ‘MAALI.’
He also named Ghana as one of his favorite places with highlights on their warm reception.
Basketmouth started off his career as a rapper but was later convinced to take up comedy, a profession has earned him an international recognition, traveling across the world to entertain people.
In December, 2022, the comedian announced he has divorced his wife after being together in marriage for 12 years.
