The President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s new ministers nominations have been approved by parliament.
This came about following a vote conducted in secret by both majority and minority members of parliament.
By virtue of this, K.T. Hammond, a member of parliament for Adansi Asokwa, has been appointed minister of trade and industry, with Dr. Stephen Amoah, a member of parliament for Nhyiaeso, serving as his deputy.
While Stephen Asamoah Boateng serves as the Minister for Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, Bryan Acheampong, the member of parliament for Abetifi, also serves as the substantive Minister for Food and Agriculture.
Former Deputy Minister of Local Government, Decentralization, and Rural Development Osei Bonsu Amoah, MP for Akuapem South, is now a Minister of State at the Ministry of Local Government, Decentralization, and Rural Development.
The former Deputy Minister of Energy and current Member of Parliament for Karaga, Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam, is now a Minister of State in the Ministry of Finance.
