Ghanaian rapper Ayigbe Edem is currently trending on social media after posting a flyer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) a day after he posted the opposition NDC flyer on his Twitter page.
Earlier we reported that Edem was set to join the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary race after announcing a desire to venture into politics.
The rapper claimed in a social media post published yesterday, March 21, 2023, that he will make a announcement today. The Ewe stated in the caption of an NDC flyer bearing his official name, “BIG ANNOUNCEMENT TOMORROW 4PM”.

Twitter users are venting their anger on Edem who seems confused or chasing clouts with the two biggest political parties in Ghana.

Still on NDC Parliamentary and Presidential primaries 2023, in response to allegations that he is no longer friends with his colleague John Dumelo, Ghanaian actor Fred Nuamah, who is lacing up his boots to run for the parliamentary seat at Ayawaso West Wuogon on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has responded.
He claims that John is actually his brother and not a friend.
On Saturday, March 18, 2023, Fred Nuamah discussed whether or not his decision to run for the Ayawaso West parliamentary seat on the NDC platform against John Dumelo has strained their friendship on UTV’s United Showbiz.
John Dumelo claimed last week that he and Fred were no longer friends, contradicting earlier claims that he had given Fred his approval to run for office.
Intriguingly, Fred reaffirmed that John is not his friend but rather his brother and that he would not permit politics to destroy their brotherhood.
