Following a hiatus off the music scene, Davido would finally be making a return with an album set to be released on the 31st of March 2023.
Davido following the untimely death of his son who drowned whilst in his Daddy’s swimming pool has since been in a state of mourning as he took time off all music-related activities to have a quiet time together with his Baby Mama Chioma. The two would in the aftermath of their son’s death wed in what was a secret traditional wedding. His last activity as far as anything musical is concerned was his last performance at the closing ceremony of the Fifa World Cup in Qatar where he performed to the admiration of all.
Davido broke the story via his Instagram account where he wrote “There is a time for everything. A time to Grieve and a time to Heal. A time to Laugh and a time to Dance. A time to Speak and A time for Silence. Thank you to everyone out there for your love and support that has held me down. All the love and messages while I was away, the gifts sent, the concerts you all threw! I appreciate it all. Today, I want to remind you all that what is now Timeless, was once new. Many were beginning to wonder when the leader of 30BG was going to make a comeback and this latest is sure to excite not just his fans but music lovers in general as countless have since made public posts begging the artiste to make a comeback. We are yet to know who the album features but it is surely not a long time from now before we find out
