Even though there haven’t been any primary elections, actor and politician Fred Nuamah claimed he has already been chosen to represent the National Democratic Congress at the Ayawaso West Wuogon Parliamentary seat.
To lead the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency as the Parliamentary candidate for the largest opposition, the NDC, Fred Nuamah and John Dumelo are neck and neck.
John Dumelo would be remembered for becoming the NDC candidate for the seat in 2020. Sadly, he was unsuccessful in winning the election.
A few weeks ago, when Fred Nuamah announced his intention to run for office, speculation swirled as to whether his friend John Dumelo would also run in their district.

In response, Fred said that John Dumelo had told him during one of their conversations that he wasn’t going to run for office in that constituency again but was instead considering an opportunity in his native Oti Region.
John Dumelo, however, declared his intention to run for the same seat and denied ever having informed Fred Nuamah that he would not be serving the residents of Ayawaso West Wuogon.
In a recent interview, Fred Nuamah said he had already picked up the nomination papers for the Ayawaso West Wuogon race and that nothing would convince him to withdraw at this point.
He continued by claiming that his team’s polls showed a comfortable lead for him, indicating that he had won the seat.
Regarding issues with John Dumelo, he disclosed that they would be resolved amicably because they are brothers and are able to work out their differences.
