This is not the first instance in which a prominent person has publicly expressed their disgust for the well-known midnight prayer meeting organized by Pastor Elvis Agyemang.
The CEO of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Program, an NPP leader, is the most recent to question Alpha Hour’s applicability.
Alpha Hour only adds needless pressure to our women because it robs them of their necessary sleep, as Mr. Kofi Ofosu Nkansah, an astute politician, has argued.
He claimed in a contentious Facebook post that has since gone viral that women who arrive home from work late must stay up late to participate in the daily Alpha Hour prayer session, which begins at 12 a.m.
The cycle continues as they get up to do chores around the house and get the kids ready for school.
Written by Kofi Ofosu Nkansah;
Alpha Hour and other midnight Prayers sessions …
Our ladies (mostly) close from work tired, they will keep wake and pray from 12 to 1am or beyond. Wake up at dawn to do house chores and prepare their kids for School. Just adding more stress to their lives. Unnecessary stress I think.
Why does it have to be after 12 midnight
He has received harsh criticism from Apharians as was to be expected given his stance.
Over 500 people had liked and commented on Mr. Kofi’s post criticizing Alpha Hour at the time the article first went live.
