The New Patriotic Party (NPP), according to John Mahama, is terrified of him.
He claims that because the NPP is afraid of his third coming, party members have painted him negatively in the public’s eyes.
Mr Mahama said this while campaigning in the Bono Region’s Wenchi, “I am confident that God will give us a victory. Let us vote massively for the NDC and support one person. All four aspirants, the NPP are not scared of anyone except one, they are scared of Mahama.”
Speaking to party members in the Bono East Region’s Tain and Banda constituency, Mahama added that the NDC will compete head-to-head with the NPP in the 2024 elections if the government tries to intimidate and persecute party members.

In addition to saying that the NDC wants transparency so that the will of the people will be carried out after the polls, he added that the party will be extremely watchful at the polling places during the general elections in 2024.
He said “I have no doubt that NDC will win the 2024 elections. So, the vote will be a do-or-die affair and we will be matching them boot to boot at the polling station.”
Dr. Kwabena Duffuor, a former finance minister and governor of the Bank of Ghana, Kojo Bonsu, a former metropolitan chief executive of Kumasi, and businessman Ernest Kobea have already made their intentions known and chosen nomination forms to run for the NDC’s flagbearership.
