The six accused individuals who were detained in connection with the March 4, 2023, slaying of a soldier, Imoro Sherrif, 21, at Ashaiman have all been remanded, according to the Ashaiman Circuit Court.
Safianu Musah alias Dayorgu, Ibrahim Abdul Rakib, Samuel Tetteh alias Wiper, Abubakar Sadick alias Birdman, Yussif Mohammed, and Abdul Gafaru Abdul Karim were accused of stealing, robbing a person, and receiving stolen goods.
The two primary accused persons’ attorneys requested bail for his clients in court on Monday, March 13, 2023, but the judge, Simon Gaga, refused because the attorney could not substantiate their place of residence permanently.

Remanded into police custody, they are scheduled to reappear on March 27, 2023.
After nearly a week of laborious police operations guided by intelligence, the suspects were apprehended at their hideouts in Ashaiman.
“Further investigation has established that suspects Samuel Tetteh and Abubakar Sadick, at about 1:45 am on March 4 2023, attacked the deceased at Taifa-Ashiaman in an attempt to rob him of his phone and a backpack. The deceased, however, resisted and struggled with the suspects. During the struggle, suspect Samuel Tetteh pulled out a knife and stabbed the deceased in the arm, snatched his phone and bolted, leaving the deceased with the knife stuck in his arm,” a Police statement said.
The deceased’s body underwent a post-mortem examination on March 8, 2023, and the pathologist declared that the deceased had died from exsanguination and laceration of major vessels in the left arm, which was consistent with having been stabbed.
