National Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate John Dramani Mahama has pledged to launch an investigation into the killings of eight (8) people during the 2020 elections.

He has therefore reassured the families of everyone who died during the tragic incidents that they should not lose hope.

“Insha Allah, when we come into the office, we will investigate the killings, bring the perpetrators to face the law, and pay the appropriate compensations”, During his campaign in the Techiman North Constituency, Mr. Mahama made an announcement.

The eight people tragically died after being shot by military personnel, according to reports, during the 2020 election.

Before the NDC May 13, 2023, presidential primaries, he is currently on a two-day tour of the Bono East Region and will continue to the Bono and Ahafo Regions to meet party delegates.

The former president has made the decision to go to each of his 275 constituencies and speak with branch and constituency executives face-to-face.
