Black Sherif is currently in the lead for the Ghana Music Awards Europe 2023 with twelve nominations under his belt.
He was nominated for Artist of the Year, Hip Life/Hip Pop Artist of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, Song of the Year, and Hip Life/Hip Pop Song of the Year in addition to other categories.
Black Sherif first gained notoriety in 2021, following the release of “First Sermon” in May 2022.
The singer of the popular song “Sugarcane,” Camidoh, received 9 nominations after King Promise, who received 11.
The other nominees include Sarkodie and Stonebwoy, who each have six nominations. Diana Hamilton and Shatta Wale each received 5 nominations.

The Ghana Music Awards Europe (GMA EUROPE) were successfully launched on March 1st, 2023 in Accra.
The event was well attended, and a sizable number of celebrities, media figures, and artists were present.
The occasion provided the organizers with a venue to declare Jim Ray Estates Limited the official title sponsor of the Ghana Music Awards Europe.
Jim Ray Estates Ltd. CEO James Okine expressed happiness and anticipation for his participation in the Ghana Music Awards Europe.
He announced an enticing land package in Accra for the recipients of the Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, and Europe Based Artist of the Year awards.
The winner of each of the three aforementioned categories, according to him, will receive two plots of land worth GHS 120,000, one plot worth GHS 60,000, and one plot worth GHS 60,000, respectively.
Vice Chairman of the Board Jay Foley said during the launch of the Ghana Music Awards Europe; “for us to win the music war, we have to award and support these artistes. What they do feed the soul.”
