Mystic Meg, aka Margaret Lake, passed away at the age of 80.
For almost 23 years, the astrologer provided The Sun newspaper with daily horoscopes.
According to the newspaper, she was admitted last month with the flu to St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington, London. On Thursday morning at 3.45 am, she passed away.
Her 34-year agent Dave Shapland told The Sun that she was without a doubt the most well-known astrologer in all of Britain.

What you Should Know About Mystic Meg
On July 27, 1942, in Accrington, Lancashire, Mystic Meg was born.
She graduated from the University of Leeds with a teaching degree.
But instead of becoming a teacher, she chose to work as a subeditor for a women’s magazine.
She worked as a journalist and wrote erotic short stories for the now-defunct News Of The World Magazine before she attained the height of her fame.
When she began offering phone-line horoscope readings in 1989, she quickly became well-known.
In the 1990s, she also made an appearance on the National Lottery TV show, where she used her crystal ball and stage appearances to predict the weekly jackpot winner.
She received a ton of mail, including from irate Manchester United supporters after she correctly predicted their team would lose to Everton in the FA Cup final in 1995. Her horoscopes and clairvoyant messages captured the public’s interest.
