The Dormaa West District of the Bono Region’s New Patriotic Party (NPP) office in Nkrankwanta has been completely destroyed by fire.
The March 6, 2023, inferno, which started at around one in the morning, has destroyed a number of properties.
Ernest Amankwa, the constituency secretary for Dormaa West, stated that they currently do not have a place to conduct business because they lost everything in the fire and are unable to determine what started it.
He said they were hoping for assistance from the District Assembly and the Regional office.

The house also had an impact on a few neighboring houses.
Some tenants who spoke to Adom News claimed the fire had destroyed almost everything they owned.
However, they claimed that they believe the region’s frequent power outages may have started the fire.
Since no firefighters are currently employed in the District, a distress call was made to Dormaa Central, who also reported that their fire tender was broken.
Therefore, the locals are requesting assistance from the appropriate authorities so that the District can obtain firefighting resources like personnel and equipment.
The NADMO Director, Balla Mohammed, revealed that the fire has destroyed property worth GHS 200,000.
