If he wins the general elections in 2024, Alan Kyeremanten, a flagbearer candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has declared he will turn Ghana into an industrial hub.

He stated that his main goal is to help young people improve their technical skills.

He claimed that if his ideas for industrialization and skill development had been put into practice about 22 years ago, Ghana would currently be making about $50 billion USD annually.

He claimed that if cocoa had affected Ghana’s economy, it would have done so long ago. He emphasized the necessity of concentrating on additional economic development fields in addition to cocoa production.

“The people of Krachi East can boast of a well-functioning yam processing factory at Ado Nkwanta within the Krachi East Municipality. This is a clear indication that the NPP government cares for the people of the Oti Region.

“The NPP government has introduced free senior high school, which has helped many parents. These are the reasons why Ghanaians need to allow the NPP government to continue to stay in power,” he said during his campaign in last February.

Kyerematen made the observation that the Dambai market is one of the well-frequented markets in the area during a tour of the marketplace. It is used by traders from various regions of the nation.

He claimed that Bangladesh’s dress industry generates about US$30 billion and Malaysia’s palm oil production generates over US$20 billion annually. In order to improve the nation’s economic situation, Kyerematen promised that if he were elected president of Ghana, he would invest in the mass production of salt, African clothing, cassava, and palm oil.
