Last Saturday, at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Center, the newly elected Executive Presbytery Officers of Assemblies of God, Ghana were outdored as Rev. Dr. Stephen Yenusom Wengam was inducted as the new General Superintendent.
Rev Dr Stephen Wengam will be assisted by the three EP Officers to carry out his vision to shift, grow and transform Assemblies of God, Ghana.

PROFILE OF REV DR STEPHEN Y. WENGAM
Re. Dr. Stephen Y. Wengam is an ordained minister of the Assemblies of God, Ghana, and hails from Paknatik in the Bunkrugu-Nakpanduri in the Northern Region of Ghana.
Academic Credentials
He holds a Diploma in Theology from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary, North East campus, Kumbungu, a BSc. Admin (Marketing option) from the University of Ghana, a certifcate in Corporate Governance from Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), a Master of Theological Seminary, USA and a Diploma in Christian Clinical Counseling from same.
He was awarded an honorary Doctorate Degree by the Pan African Clergy Council.
Humble Accomplishments
Senior Resident Pastor of Citi 97.3FM, a privately owned radio station in Accra, up until 2022. He hosted the programme, “This Is Your Day”, a family morning devotion programme that runs from Monday to Saturday, from 4:00a.m. to 6:00am.
Rev Wengam is the immediate past Chairman of the Ghana Prisons Service Council. He was appointed by the H.E John Dramani Mahama, during his tenure as the President of the Repblic of Ghana.
Through the visionary leadership of Rev. Wengam, the Sixth Prisons Council launched a Ten-Year Strategic Plan and a Self-Help Project cheristened “Project Efiase,” where they solicited public and private support to transform Ghana Prisons into centers of excellence.
He also served as a member of the Fifth Prisons Coucil from 2009-2013. Rev Wengam serves as a member of the Citi Fm Foundation Board.
As the West Africa Executive Coordinator of Global Leadership Training, USA, he has coordinated conferences for civic, corporate, political, religious, and emerging leaders since 2008. He highly regarded us a spiritual mentor and coach to political, civic, and coporate leaders, and is the author of the bestselling book, 365 Prayer Missiles.
Under his visionary leadership and as lead pastor of Cedar Mountain, East legon, the church was adjudged Global Council Assemblies of God USA 2022.
He has traveled wide and visited countries in Asia, Europe, North and South America, the Middle East, and Africa, to preach, and in some instances, perform special assignments.
His Family
Rev Wengam is married to Monica. They are blessed with two children, Ithra Yenupiini Fremah and Mathew-King Baanan.
Current Roles
In August 2022, he was overwhelmingly elected General Superintendent of the 91-year-old Assemblies of God, Ghana. Superintending over 6022 churches and over 690000 members.
He is the Founding/Lead pastor of Cedar Mountain Chapel, East Legon, a thriving branch of the Assemblies of God, Ghana.
PROFILE OF REV. DR. GODWIN TITO AGYEI – Assistant General Superintendent
Rev. Dr. Godwin Tito Agyei (aka Kwadwo Agyei) was born on 30th December 1963 to the late Opanin Yaw Korang Manu and late Madam Grace Adwoa Pokuaa. He hails from Bamang near Bonwire in the Mampoteng District of the Ashanti Region.
Rev. Tito Agyei got converted quite early in life and was baptized in 1980 by Rev Nicholas Opuni of the Lighthouse (Central) Assenbly of God church in Kumasi.
Ministry
Pastor Tito, as he is affectionately called, got enrolled at the defunct Mid-Ghana Bible School in 1989 and completed in 1991 with a Diploma in Biblical studies. Rev Ransford Obeng was his pastor during his Bible school days.
Rev. Tito Agyei was posted to New Life Assembly of God in Akrokerri in the Adansi District from 1992 to 1997. In 1996, he was invited to be a part-time lecturer at the then Mid-Ghana Bible College and he faithfully discharged his responsibility until the school became defunct.
He was transferred to Grace Assembly of God, Bronkong/Afrancho in the Afigya Kwabre South District of the Ashanti Region where he has been made to be at post since February 1997.
Marriage
Rev. Tito Agyei is married to Rev (Mrs) Gladys Agyei (aka Gladys Ofori) since 13th March 1993 and they have four adult, children between them and two grandchildren.

PROFILE OF REV. DR. ERNEST BIRIKORANG – General Secretary
Rev. Dr. Ernest Birikorang, a seasoned man of God, Revivalist and a deep expositor of the Word of God, was born to Chief Superintendent George Andrew Birikorang and Mrs. Rose Fokuo Birikorang at Asante Mampong in the Ashanti Region of Ghana.
Education
He pushed his secondary education at Nsaba Presbyterian Secondary School and Mfantsipim School from 1977. After, he continued with the West Africa Secondary School for the “A” level, while pursuing a Diploma in Business Studies at Accra Polytechnic in 1983. He then went on to Southern Ghana Bible Institute, now called, Assemblies of God Theological Seminary (AGTS) to purse a Diploma in Theology in 1989.
He completed his Bachelor of Theology at Assemblies of God Bible College in 2000. He also pursued a Master in Theology at the International Theological Seminary in 2001 and a Master of Philosophy at the University of Cape Coast in 2010. In 2017, he completed his Doctor of Philosophy Degree at Laurette Universities.
Call To Ministry
He responded to the call to Ministry in 1985. After acquiring educational and practical experience in ministry, Rev. Ernest Birikorang was ordained as a Reverend Minister of the Assemblies of God Church in 1996.
Work Experience
Rev. Dr. Ernest Birikorang started secular work with the Ghana Police Service at the Budget Office, National Headquarters, where he served his national service from 1985. He also worked at Blesed Redemption Theogolical College from 1991 to 1994.
He lectured in various periods at Glory Leadership Institute, World Miracle Ministry College, all in the Greater Accra Region. He has been an adjunct lecturer at the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary from 2002 till date.
Radio and Television And other Ministries
Rev. Dr. Ernest Birikorang is a voice on radio and television. He hosts a weekly biblical exposition session on Sunny FM (A Christian radio station in Ghana) and also on AGTV (Assemblies of God Ghana’s official television station).
Both programmes are dubbed “Moment of Truth.” He is also the Board Chairman of Elrano Projects and Consult, a business development and solution company with a speciality in real estate, marine services, and oil and gas.

PROFILE OF REV. DR. SIMON ABU BABA – General Treasurer
Rev. Dr. Simon Abu Baba has been in full-time ministry for thirty (30) years and has risen through the ranks from a Local Church Pastor to Sectional Evangelism Rep, regional Youth director, District Secretary, District Pastor, and to Regional Superintendent from 2015 to 2022.
Credentials
Rev. Dr. Simon Abu Baba theologically obtained his Dipolma at Assemblies of God Theological Seminary (AGTS) Northern Campus. He obtained his First Degree at West Africa Advance School of Theology, Lome-Togo.
He holds two Master’s degrees, that is, M.A in Christian Ministry with Management from Christian Service College – Kumasi, and M.TH from Faith University Seminary USA-Ghana Campus.
He currently holds a Doctorate Degree from Faith University Seminary, USA – Ghana Campus.
Achievements
Ministerially, he is endowed with power ministry of the Holy Spirit, an evangelist and a church planter. he mentored many people who are ministers of the gospel, businessmen, and academicians.

Rev. Dr. Simon Abu Babais married with three children and his wife happens to be the National Women’s Ministry Director of Assemblies of God, Ghana.
