No member of the National Democratic Congress dared to challenge the sitting Member of Parliament, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, who is running for re-election to serve his constituents for a fourth term.

On Saturday, February 25, 2023, the primary period for the largest opposition party ended without a challenger emerging against the lawmaker.

Mr. Ablakwa reaffirmed his commitment to providing his constituents with the best service possible on his social media pages.

“We are running unopposed in the North Tongu NDC Parliamentary Primaries.

“Another reason to serve my beloved constituents better, stronger, harder & more innovatively.

“As you very well know, I don’t & will never take your support for granted. Glory be to God,” the MP wrote on Saturday, February 25, 2023.

In order to unseat the ruling New Patriotic Party ahead of the elections in 2024, the NDC is currently conducting elections for its parliamentary candidates and a flagbearer. On May 13, there will be primaries.

Since he was elected to parliament in 2012, Ablakwa has represented his constituents.
