The new General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God Church, Ghana has been formally installed as Rev. Stephen Wengam, the senior pastor of Cedar Mountain International Church in Accra.
The Grand Arena at the Accra International Conference Center hosted the induction ceremony.
At the 30th biennial General Council meeting of the church, Reverend Stephen Yenusom Wengam, who is also the primary radio pastor at Citi FM, was chosen to serve as the General Superintendent of Assemblies of God, Ghana.
He inducted into the office of General Superintendent and other Executive Presbytery Officers namely, Rev Dr Godwin Tito Agyei as the Assistant General Superintendent, Rev Dr Ernest Birikorang and Rev Dr Simon Abu Baba.
Several well-known pastors, former President John Dramani Mahama, and former Chief Justice Georgina Wood all attended the ceremony.

In his inaugural address, Rev. Wengam stated that his vision is known as the transformation agenda and is based on Micah 4:1,2 which predicts that the nations will swarm into the mountain of the Lord’s temple in the last days. To walk in this vision, we want to reposition the Assemblies of God church.
Reach, rebuild, reform, restore, reposition, and rebrand are the six thematic areas that make up his transformation agenda, according to him.
He wants to invest in infrastructure, human resources, the welfare of our pastors, and every village in Ghana where people do not hear the word of God. following the reform.
The Church, according to Rev. Wengam, will undergo a significant administrative reorganization as well as a brand refresh to appeal to the younger demographic.
The senior pastor of Cedar Mountain International Church in Accra is Rev. Wengam, 50.
He succeeds Rev. Professor Yaw Frimpong-Manso, who served as the church’s general superintendent for 12 years.
At a ceremony to hand over authority held at the church’s Accra headquarters on Monday, September 5, 2022, Rev. Wengam officially assumed his position.
