The comedian Michael Blackson’s remarks about Ghana’s music industry have angered musician Fuse ODG.
Despite having a vast number of musicians, the comedian claimed in an interview that there are only four international artists in the nation.
Fuse ODG claimed on Twitter that the comedian ought to be educating people rather than making offensive remarks that only bring shame upon the nation and the music business.
He pointed out that his statements were inappropriate because he had personally introduced Michael Blackson to numerous talented musicians in Ghana.
“Mike…I don’t know how you go on @Drinkchamps and say there are only 4 artistes in Ghana. Not cool bro. I’ve personally introduced u to a lot of GH artists in GH! smh. Stop embarrassing us on these platforms…you’re supposed to educate them,” Fuse ODG wrote.
Michael Blackson previously stated that the only Ghanaian superstars were Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, Sarkodie, and Black Sherif.

He said this during an interview with N.O.R.E. & DJ EFN on their podcast Drink Champs.
In contrast to Nigerians, who have a large number of major and well-known artists around the world, he claims that Ghana only has these four superstars when it comes to international representation.
Many Ghanaians disagreed with his statements, and some even cited other acts that had received recognition on a global scale in the past.
He thanked a few of these musicians, including Fuse ODG. The comedian added that before a Twitter user called his attention to the young performer, he was unaware that Camidoh was from Ghana.
Thanks. I’ve heard of @camidoh and @IamKingPromise, @Camidoh is on my playlist and I listened to him today. Had no idea he was from Ghana, my bad homie. You a dope ass artist https://t.co/v1xCfZTOwc

Micheal Blackson acknowledged that, because he couldn’t recall many names, he needed to learn a lot more about Ghanaian artists.
I need to get to know more of my Ghana 🇬🇭 artists because the only names I can remember are @shattawalegh @stonebwoy @sarkodie @blacksherif_ @DBLACKGH and now my artist @gambo_ii
