Dr. Kwabena Duffuor, the National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) flagbearer candidate for president, has pledged to turn around Ghana’s faltering economy within two years if chosen as the party’s nominee and ultimately re-elected in the general elections of 2024.
He claimed that if elected president, Ghana’s economy, which is in decline, will experience a tremendous recovery.
When he chose his forms to formally run for the NDC flagbearership, Dr. Kwabena Duffuor made this known.
He joins a growing group of public figures who have chosen to run against former president John Mahama for the party’s nomination in this regard.
Gloria Huze, the National Democratic Congress’s (NDC) Ashanti Regional Women’s Organiser, collected nomination paperwork for the former Bank.

According to Madam Huze, the NDC will need a brave candidate like Dr. Duffour to lead it in the 2024 presidential elections if it is to protect the populace, particularly women, from the current administration.
“The place for the eagle is not the land but the sky. The eagle will soar again, Ghana will soar again. Our government, if voted for will bring the economy back within two years. The first year will be a resurrection year and the second year, will be a complete recovery in 2025,” he stated.
On May 13, 2023, the NDC is anticipated to hold its presidential and parliamentary elections.
Nominations must be submitted between Wednesday, February 22 and Friday, February 24, 2023, and forms must be submitted and filed between Monday, March 20, 2023, and Wednesday, March 27, 2023.
