NDC Parliamentary Race – Johnson Asiedu Nketia, son of the National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has entered the party’s parliamentary primary.
Charles Akwasi Asiedu has announced that he will run in the Tano South parliamentary primary for the party.
Hannah Bissue, the NDC’s candidate in the constituency since 2012, will be replaced by Charles Asiedu, the former organizer for the Ahafo Region.
Three more competitors will compete against him in the race.
He said “I am always here with the people and they know me to be a vibrant party person who has served them in different capacities.”

He wants to increase the NDC’s gains in Tano South and act as a force for progress that will improve people’s lives there.
Asiedu served as a branch organizer for the NDC for two terms before moving up the ranks to become the organization’s deputy for the Brong Ahafo region.
He served as the party’s most recent Ahafo Regional organizer.
In 2018 and 2022, when Dr. Hanna Bisiw was re-elected to the position of National Women’s Organizer, Asiedu served as the campaign’s national coordinator.
Asiedu has a Master of Arts degree from the University of Ghana’s Business School in organizational leadership and governance.
Additionally, he has a Bachelor of Arts degree in PR from the Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ).
