A 17-year-old Senior High School (SHS) student at Wenchi in the Bono Region has sadly died according to report sighted by InsightNewsgh.com.
The late Aisha Seidu, a second-year Muslim SHS student in Kumasi, is said to have been killed by strangers the day after she returned home to Wenchi Zongo for summer vacation.
According to her family, her body was discovered in the early hours of Tuesday, February 21, 2023, in a pool of blood suggesting she may have been beaten by her attacker who could have also raped her.
When Ghana Police Service officials were called to the scene, it was reported that she was bleeding from her genitals.

Police rushed her to Wenchi Methodist Hospital, where she was pronounced dead on arrival.
Since then, the Wenchi City Command of the Ghana Police Department has opened an investigation into the circumstances leading up to the death, with the family suspecting it was a case of rape and murder.
Residents believe the student was killed by a suspected rapist. They believe this is a coordinated crime and therefore call on the authorities to bring those responsible to justice.
