Reverend Anthony Kwadwo Boakye, the founder and pastor of Resurrection Power New Generation Church, has passed away.
According to the tragic news that has reached InsightNewsgh.com, the illustrious man of God died away just this afternoon, on February 22, 2023.

Rev. Boakye was said to have had a stroke in November 2021, leaving him bedridden and disabled.
In a sermon to the audience, his wife dispelled the rumors, making it clear that her husband was just taking a vacation from his ministry after 19 years for health reasons.
Since that time, Sofo Maame Boakye has been in control of everything, even the money of the church, probably until her husband comes home.
However, it seems that Rev. Boakye was not as happy as his wife had led everyone to believe.
The wife of Rev. Boakye, who was acting in her place as financial controller, was embroiled in controversy in August 2022 after CCTV evidence showed her striking a church elder over the offertory.
The security video that went viral captured Mrs. Boakye slapping a member of the church hierarchy in the face in the financial control room.
This occurred despite a May 2022 audio message from Rev. Anthony Boakye warning the church’s elders not to let his wife handle the funds.
After learning that his wife’s attitude had changed after he became ill and she became acquainted with the church’s finances, the renowned man of God gave the order to have her removed from the finance department in the audio message.

He advised his wife not to interfere with the church’s finances and to keep to her responsibilities as Sofo Maame.
According to the viral video, Sofo Maame Boakye did not follow her husband’s advice, which suggests she disregarded his advice.
