Fred Nuamah has formally joined the contest to become a Member of Ghana’s parliament on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
In order to choose people to represent the constituencies in the 2024 elections, the NDC is holding parliamentary primaries soon. The actor who also serves as CEO of the Ghana Movie Awards has declared his desire to participate.
In the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency, where his best buddy John Dumelo ran for office in 2020, Fred Nuamah will run to head the NDC.
Fred revealed that he has chosen forms to run in the NDC elections, confirming his plan; “I HAVE OFFICIALLY PICKED FORMS TO CONTEST AYAWASO WEST WUOGON PARLIAMENTARY PRIMARIES,” he said in a political poster.
Sharing the flyer on social media, he wrote “It’s official now. #toGodbetheglory“.

In order to choose a flagbearer and legislative candidates for the 2024 elections, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is anticipated to conduct its presidential and parliamentary caucuses on Saturday, May 13, 2023.
According to the schedule provided by the party on Wednesday, January 18, interested parties are anticipated to pick up candidacy paperwork from the party’s offices or website.
Nominations may be submitted from Wednesday, February 22 through Friday, February 24. Forms must be submitted and filed between Monday, March 20, 2023, and Wednesday.
Many people are surprised by Fred Nuamah’s statement because he still considers John Dumelo to be his closest friend. Many people have been affected by the change.
John Dumelo faced off against Lydia Seyram Alhassan of the NPP in the district during the 2020 elections, but she ultimately prevailed. On the NPP platform, the incumbent MP received 39,851 ballots, with Dumelo of the NDC coming in second with 37,778.
