Christian Atsu’s Mortal Remains – The remains of Black Stars winger Christian Atsu arrived in Ghana on the late hours of Sunday night, February 19, 2023.
His remains arrived at the VIP area of Terminal 2 at Kotoka International Airport at 7am:
40 hours.
A brief ceremony took place before his remains were removed from the Turkish Airlines plane.

The Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, was accompanied by several family members of the deceased and officials from the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to receive the body of the late player.
Also present were Information Minister Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, Deputy Sports Minister Evans Bobie Opoku, Ghana’s Ambassador to Turkey Francisca Ashietey-Odunton and members of the Ghana Fans’ Federation.
