Film actor, humanitarian and missionary, Majid Michel believes that Christian Atsu’s death was premature and that he should not have died in the earthquake.

He says that Atsu shouldn’t have died and people don’t say that it was God who took him away because God didn’t take back what he gave us.

He added that young people must be trained and built up in prayer for them to understand these things.

Former Black Star player Christian Atsu was confirmed dead by his club, Hatayspor, on 18 February 2023.

Atsu was the victim of a devastating earthquake in Turkey that occurred on February 6. The Turkish club confirmed the news mid-morning on Saturday, following earlier statements by two player’s representatives.

The terrible earthquake in Turkey 12 days ago has made friends and relatives of this player waiting for the good news of a miraculous escape from the disaster.

His remains arrived at Kotaka International Airport on Sunday, February 19, 2023.

The winger played 65 times for the Ghana national team and helped his side reach the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations final.

Ghana’s foreign ministry said the footballer’s body was escorted from Turkey by his family and Ghana’s ambassador to Turkey, Francisca Ashietey-Odunton.

The plane landed at 19:25 GMT in Accra, where he was greeted by relatives, government officials and representatives of the Ghana Football Association. The coffin was then moved to the morgue of a military hospital.
