Ghanaian Dancehall musician Shatta Wale has joined many others to sympathize with the family of former Black Stars winger Christian Atsu.
Christian Atsu, 31, who played for Premier League sides Everton, Chelsea and Newcastle, died after an earthquake in Turkey on February 6.
His lifeless body was found from the rubble on Saturday after he went missing almost two weeks after the apartment he was staying in collapsed in Antakya, Hatay.
Shatta Wale, who had previously taken to his social media pages to pray for his friend’s find, couldn’t hold back her tears.

In a Twitter post on Saturday, February 18, 2023, said;
“Atsu -We are all very sad about your news here in Ghana but I know God will keep you in the right place for us ..we will miss you Christian Atsu 😢😢😢😢😢😢
“Great friend ,Great brother 💡
“Rest In Power my brother 🙏😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration in Ghana said “the elder brother and twin sister of Christian Atsu and an Officer of the Embassy were present at the site when the body was recovered.”
Meanwhile, Chrtiaitna Atsu’s body has been transported from Turkey to Ghana for burial.
