Tributes and heartfelt messages continue to pour from all over the world following the sudden death of Ghanaian footballer Christian Atsu.
Christian Atsu’s body was finally found after 14-days being trapped under the rubble of his home following the Turkey earthquake, but he was found dead.

The footballer is 31 years old and has two children with his wife, Marie-Claire Lupio.
Atsu’s death was confirmed Saturday morning by his agent, Nana Sechere, who shared the sad news on Twitter.
Following the sad news which has gone viral on social media, President Nana Akufo-Addo has sent his condolences to Atsu’s wife and his family.
In a Facebook post which he later shared on his Twitter page, Nana Addo said Atsu was one of the “finest personnel and ambassadors.”
According to the President of Ghana, the 31-year-old player will be difficult to replace as he’ll be forever missed.
The former Chelsea winger was reported missing after a devastating earthquake shook several parts of Turkey more than a week ago.
Christian Atsu, who played for Turkish club Hatayspor, was trapped under the rubble along with the club’s sporting director, Taner Savut.

The two could not be found despite days of searching, with the football world united to pray for their safety and hope for a rescue.

Meanwhile, arrangements are underway to transport Christian Atsu‘s body to Ghana.
