Atsu Found Dead – Christian Atsu has been found dead under the rubble of his home almost two weeks after the Turkey earthquake, his agent has confirmed.
The footballer is 31 years old and has two children with his wife, Marie-Claire Lupio.
Atsu’s death was confirmed Saturday morning by his agent, Nana Sechere, who shared the sad news on Twitter.

It is with the heaviest of hearts that I have to announce to all well wishers that sadly Christian Atsu’s body was recovered this morning,” he wrote on Twitter.
“My deepest condolences go to his family and loved ones. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their prayers and support.
“I ask that whilst we make the necessary arrangements, that everyone would please respect the privacy of the family during this very difficult time.”
The former Chelsea winger was reported missing after a devastating earthquake shook several parts of Turkey more than a week ago.
Christian Atsu, who played for Turkish club Hatayspor, was trapped under the rubble along with the club’s sporting director, Taner Savut.
The two could not be found despite days of searching, with the football world united to pray for their safety and hope for a rescue.
