Michael Essien in his prime played key Premier League roles for Chelsea, where he helped them win a number of trophies including the Champions League. He also played for Real Madrid at one point.
As a sacked coach, many believe that, like Frank Lampard, he will have a key position to coach Chelsea or Ghana’s national team, the Black Stars.
Still on sports news, Black Stars midfielder Mubarak Wakaso wrote an emotional message to his friend Christian Atsu, saying he misses the Hatalyaspor winger, who has yet to be found after the earthquake in Turkey.
