Black Stars winger Christian Atsu’s agent Nana Sechere has provided an update on the soccer star who has been missing since Monday, 6 February 2023. after an earthquake occurred in Turkey.
The former Chelsea winger who joined Turkish club Hatayspor last summer, is believed to be among thousands of people left under the rubble of a building, along with the club’s sporting director, Taner Savut.

Christian Atsu was confirmed to have been found a day later, however, club board member Mustafa Zat denied reports of his whereabouts.
Since then, the Atsu family and the whole country of Ghana have been eager to hear positive news about the situation.
Atsu’s agent finally updated the situatio, following a visit to the site where 31-year-old’s building was located,
According to him, although they were able to pinpoint the location of Christian Atsu’s bedroom and find two of his shoes, they were unable to locate the soccer star.
Nana Sechere added that the situation is very difficult because communication with the Turkish authorities has become an obstacle.
He also added that Atsu’s club appear to have abandoned the player, stripping him of his position and influence to help speed up the search process.

Earlier yesterday, it was reported that the Turkish rescue team had finally received the necessary equipment to rescue those trapped under the Hatay Renaissance building where Christian Atsu was staying on the 9th floor before the disaster. unfortunate incident happened.
Recall that in an interview with BBC News last Friday, Christian Atsu’s wife, Marie, revealed that the rescue team lacked the essential tools to be able to speed up their work.
After making this report, thermal imaging cameras later confirmed that many people were still living under the rubble of the Hatay Renaissance building.
