    My Suspension From NPP Was Not Necessary – Kwabena Agyapong

    Kwabena Agyapong, a presidential hopeful of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), described his suspension of the party several years ago as unnecessary.

    The former secretary general of the NPP described the party’s decision as a political mistake orchestrated by anonymous people who did not support his particular leadership but did everything to do it. tarnish his reputation.

    He regretted the apparent silence of many major party figures about his unwarranted suspension, saying, “The NPP has a lot of legal celebrities and prominent people who should have could be saved today, but I left it to my fate, no matter what. problem.

    “What happened to me is an aberration that should never be meted out to anyone in any political party because it was unconstitutional and needless.”

    Despite the evil propaganda and misinformation, Agyepong said he contributed greatly to the party’s election victories in 2016 and 2020.

    “Despite the baseless accusations that I was working against the Presidential ambition of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, I mobilised resources from friends and well-wishers to support the party.

    “I supported the party in the Upper East and West, Brong Ahafo, Ashanti, and 20 constituencies in the Northern Region and submitted a receipt of my contributions to the party,” Agyepong revealed.

    He lamented the marginalized culture of defamation and outrageous accusations about political opponents or individuals who may have dissenting views.

    Agyepong, along with former National NPP president Paul Afoko and former vice president Sammy Crabbe, were suspended indefinitely by the party in 2015.

    He could not understand why the party that prides itself as an apostle of democracy and the rule of law in Ghana would suddenly ignore its constitutional provisions.
