Multiple award-winning movie star Majid Michel has chided pastors who constantly tell their church members their problems are over.

The actor turned an evangelist of the gospel of Christ made this comment during a discussion with Fiifi Pratt on Kingdom FM.

Backing his claim with scriptures from the Bible, he said troubles can never be over until a person dies.

“All the pastors out there would you please stop telling your congregation all your troubles are over. You see when you’re close to God and you go through trouble, you just remind yourself who is with you in that situation,” Michel said.

“The only time you don’t have troubles is when you are dead,” he stressed.

He urged Christians to see obstacles in life as part of God’s plan and process for them and not a trouble.

In addition, he charged Christians to have it at the front side of their heads that God is with them in their difficult times.

Meanwhile, actress and movie producer, Yvonne Nelson also added that people go to church because they want to hear things that calm them in the mist of difficult times.

According to her, people don’t a pastor to read the Bible and interpret it to them when they can also read and understand it themselves through the help of the Holy Spirit.

This is where I disagree with Yvonne Nelson, people still need pastors in their life no matter their level of education, background or status in society.

If pastors were not important Jesus wouldn’t have given them to people as his gift to the church when he ascended into heaven after his resurrection.

That’s my opinion, you can also share with us yours on this important discourse.
