The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) categorically criticized the dangerous comments by the youth organizer of their constituency in Suame in the Ashanti region, Koampa Razak Avoliya, commonly known as Mosquito.
The party insisted that the young man spoke before his eyes and should therefore be forgiven.

Mr Avoliya is said to have incited his party members to violence ahead of the 2024 general election to seize power.
He incited his NDC supporters in Suame of attacking those of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) ahead of the 2024 general election.
After the video went viral, Ashanti Regional Police organized a manhunt to arrest him to serve as a warning to other.
However, George Opare Addo, the National Youth Organizer of NDC in an interview on Adom FM pleaded for mercy on Razak’s behalf.
According to Opare Addo, the NDC is law abiding party and will never subscribe to any political violence just to win power during elections.
“We don’t support him because nobody believes politics is war. Some of the words he used are unpalatable,” he lamented.
The NDC Youth Leader, more commonly known as Pablo, proved to Razak, whom he describes as a calm and responsible young man.
“I know Razak, he can’t event hurt a fly. He was just bragging and spoke on the spare of the moment so we should tamper justice with mercy,” he pleaded.
However, Mr. Addo said the explosive comment should be a wake-up call for the police who failed to do justice to the eight NDC members killed in the 2020 general election.

He added that the statement is unfortunate “it cannot be swept under the carpet.”
“We don’t subscribe to the call to violence but there are fundamental issues the police must help address,” he said.
Pablo hinted that there will be more such violent comments from party members if the police do not do justice.
“Don’t be surprise people will make such statement. You cannot have peace without justice,” he added.
