Hatayspor winger Christian Atsu is believed to have been found alive after disappearing under the rubble of the unfortunate earthquake that hit Turkey yesterday according to latest development.
Per many reports, the ex-Chelsea and Newcastle United winger has been found and taken to a nearby hospital where he’s expected to receive treatment.

The latest news on the whereabouts of Christian Atsu was shared by Ghanaian sports journalist, Saddick Adams in a tweet that reads;
“I’m still in contact with Christian Atsu’s management. A teammate of Atsu has confirmed to them, the player has been found and taken to the hospital. They expect an official statement from his club soon. Prayers still with him and everyone. Trust God he is safe ”
UPDATE: I’m told Christian Atsu was on the 9th floor of the collapsed building with 9 other players and 2 officials.
3 players and one official have been rescued.

Previous media reports claimed that the 30-year-old player and his club manager, Tanur Savut, both in Turkey at the time of the incident, were left under the rubble. .
Over more than 2,000 people have been killed so far and rescuers are racing to pull survivors from the rubble after a devastating earthquake tore through Turkey and Syria, leaving devastation and rubble. on both sides of the border.

One of the strongest earthquakes to hit the region in a century sent residents shaking from their beds around 4 a.m. Monday, sending tremors as far as Lebanon and Israel.
The epicenter of the magnitude 7.8 earthquake was 23 km east of Nurdagi in Turkey’s Gaziantep province and at a depth of 24.1 km (14.9 mi), the United States Geological Survey (USGS) USGS) said.
Christian Atsu came on from the bench to score the winning goal for Hatayspor in the Turkish league last night.
The 31-year-old scored his first goal for the club as Hatayaspor beat Kasimpasa.
