Ahead of the 65th Grammy Awards night, Nigerians were hopeful that ‘global’ hit single Last Last would help Nigerian superstar Burna Boy win another award.
Burna Boy’s Last Last song was nominated to contend with other four songs in the Global Music Performance category.
To shock of many fans, a South African tune Batheye by Wouter Kellerman, Zakes Bantwini and Nomcebo Zikode won the coveted category.
Burna Boy has been subjected to social media troll after Nigerians dug out a short video clip of Batheye song that defeated Last Last.
While, some believed that Last Last hitmaker was robbed of the Grammy award, other mocked him for losing to the Batheye song they believe doesn’t match up to his.
The Grammy folks saw the LGBTQ umbrella and said "fuck burnaboy, last last ain't shit, this will send a message". It's glaring https://t.co/5cR4RikFfd
