Jessica Opare has finally decided to let the cat out of the bag with regard to her quitting and termination of her contract with Citi FM after a year.
Jessica Opare, now a vlogger, had this to say “ There were rumours swirling all over the place things being said on my behalf that I had no idea about, people saying oh I’ve fallen out with a boss, you know and that kind of thing. None of them were true. I left Citi Fm because I felt it was time, it was time to truly explore being me”
Jessica Opare until her controversial resignation from the Accra-based FM was one of the station’s most prominent names who had earned for herself a loyal following after being involved in such programs as ‘Sista sista, Brunch in the city, Traffic Avenue’ and so many more in over 16 years of dedication and hard work.
Jessica Opare who is also an avid lover of power bikes added “I had hit a milestone of 40 years a few months earlier and I just felt I knew that as soon as I hit 40, I was going to quit. It was just a matter of time.. Has it been a rewarding journey so far? Absolutely. Some of my wildest dreams have come true. Things that I never thought I’d be able to do have been done”
Jessica Opare has indeed paid her radio dues but as to if she will be returning to the traditional media landscape, we do not know. Still, surely a woman with her talent would always be an asset to whoever employs her services.
