Sarkodie, a celebrated icon of Ghanaian music has stated he would like to go on a world tour alongside Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy.
Making the revelation during his interview with Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM with Andy Dotsy, Sarkodie said “That is my prayer, it has to happen”
The three have by far been the most standout names in the Ghanaian music industry as they each boast of a very large fan base with identifiable names such as Sarknatives (Sarkodie) Shatta Movement (Shatta Wale) and Bhim (Stonebwoy).
A global tour with these three as a unit would surely be a big one for not just Ghanaian music but African music as a whole. The three are very capable of selling out their own shows as seen recently when Sarkodie sold-out tickets for his rapperholic concert whilst Stonebwoy also did the same with his Bhim concert and Shatta Wale is also became the first Ghanaian artist to sell out the Accra sports stadium also known as the Ohene-Djan sports stadium. On the evidence of this, it shouldn’t be far-fetched that these three are very capable of selling out the various avenues in Europe if this tour should happen to which we pray it does.
Sarkodie, Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy have never worked on any projects together although they have worked in pairs as Sarkodie has worked with Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy individually but Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale have never before worked together on any project.
We hope the powers that be in the industry are able to bring the three greats together and make Sarkodie, Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy’s world tour not just a hope for their fans and music lovers in general but a lifetime experience.
