Former First Atlantic Bank employee Deborah Seyram Adablah, who worked for the bank as a National Service employee for a full year, sued both the bank and Ernest Kwasi Nimako, who was her “Sugar Daddy” at that time.

Deborah claims that she fell for the relationship because she wanted to keep her job and for her peace of mind in the office because other women who turned down First Atlantic Bank Managers made life uncomfortable for them in a writ of summons that has now gone viral.

Deborah claims that what’s even more concerning is the practice of forcing female bank employees to make unwanted sexual advances on important clients in order for them to create accounts with the bank.

Deborah Seyram Adablah claims in a lawsuit dated January 23, 2023, that her “sugar daddy” [name withheld] promised to purchase her a car, pay for her housing for three years, give her a GH3,000 monthly stipend, marry her after divorcing his wife, and also give her a lump sum to establish a business.

She claims that despite the “sugar daddy” having purchased the vehicle and had it registered in his name, he has since taken it back, preventing her access to it. This is despite the fact that he had also only paid for a year’s worth of rent.

She claims that despite the “sugar daddy” having purchased the vehicle and had it registered in his name, he has since taken it back, refusing her access to it after around a year of enjoying the Honda Civic valued GH$120,000, while he also only paid for one year of housing.

Adablah, who alleges that she entered the relationship under duress while completing her national service, has also accused the “sugar daddy” of abusing, harassing, mistreating, and exploiting her, as well as damaging her reputation.
