Ibrahim Murtala Muhammad, the member of parliament for Tamale Central, has expressed alarm over what he claims is the National Democratic Congress national executive’s inability to convene the parliamentary caucus prior to altering the minority’s leadership in parliament.
He contends that the party must involve them in the selection of the legislative leadership.
A former Deputy Minister of Finance, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, has been appointed as the Minority Leader, as a replacement for Haruna Iddrisu.
Kofi Armah Buah has also been named as the new Deputy Minority Chief Whip.
Kwame Agbodza takes over as Chief Whip.
Ahmed Ibrahim, MP for Banda, has been maintained as the First Deputy Minority Chief Whip, while Comfort Doyo Cudjoe-Ghansah, MP for Ada, is the Second Deputy Minority Chief Whip.
