On Monday, January 23, 2023, at 10 am, the second episode of the funny drama series titled “The Hairdressers” will be broadcast on Citi TV’s YouTube page, CitiTube.

Viewers on CitiTube were captivated by the first episode of the most popular drama series.

AJ Sarpong, a well-known broadcaster and actress, Desiree Crentsil, Akosua Paintsil, Linda Ackah-Mensah, Magdalene Williams, Evelyn Odumanye, Samuel Abeiku Takyi, Jackie Ankrah, a seasoned actress and gospel performer, AD-Gladys, and renowned actor Don Ziggy are among the stars of the Citi TV production.

The setting for “The Hairdresser’s” is a typical Ghanaian-African hair and beauty parlor, where talks among the stylists, their clients, and the occasional bystander are likely focused on gossip “Konkonsa.”

The Hairdresser’s rhetoric is hysterical, blunt, and offensively African.

On Monday at 10 am, The Hairdresser’s second episode will premiere on Citi TV’s YouTube channel, “CitiTube,” and viewers can expect another thrilling and captivating episode.

The Citi TV production features seasoned actress and gospel artiste Jackie Ankrah, AD-Gladys, Desiree Crentsil, Akosua Paintsil, Linda Ackah-Mensah, Magdalene Williams, Evelyn Odumanye, Samuel Abeiku Takyi, AJ Sarpong, among others.

The production was directed by Citi TV’s Victoria Delali Dogbe with assistance from Samuella Adu-Aryee and Naa Aku Shika Grant.

The gossip (konkonsa) that is typical of a hairdressing/beauty salon in Ghana, and maybe other regions of Africa, is the topic of conversation among the hairdressers, their clients, and the sporadic guests.

The show’s characters’ words and deeds portray, delve into, and criticize the sociocultural intricacies and ideas of Ghanaian society, making the hair salon an extension of the highs and lows of Ghanaian and African culture.
