    The Nigerian Nollywood industry is undoubtedly the biggest movie industry on the continent and that is a statement of fact, period. It is an industry that is blessed with a multitude of talent from comedy to romantic and whatever you have on your plate for them and the rich display of culture and tradition makes their industry a truly unique one. Blessed with such talents as Ramsey Noah, Genevieve Nnaji, Ini Edo, Oge Okoye, Chinedu Ikedieze, Osita Iheme, John Okafor and really, it’s a tall list of talents who have projected Nigeria on the map. One such name is Diewait Ikpechukwu and a veteran whose own contribution is unmatched. Well, in a recent interview during which he was asked what his toughest role was, here’s what he had to say;

    ‘When we were shooting Antichrist, Gentle Jack, who was the head of the ‘666 warriors’, slapped me so heavily that I saw stars. I was acting as the priest and he (Jack) was supposed to slap me at some point, but I didn’t know it was going to be that heavy.

    He used his entire muscle and landed on my cheeks and I told the director that I was not going to act again. They then began to beg me but I refused. After much pleading, I decided to continue the shoot.

    Still in that movie, we were on location in a zoo in Enugu where a lion was at the other part while we occupied the second side. It was just a rod that separated us. It rained that day and we were still shooting that night. Had it been the lion broke out and attacked us, we would have become meat for it. I was scared to my bones.

    That was one very big challenge moment I’ve had”.
