Jupitar, as we all know, is one of the finest dancehall-artiste in the country and his talents have made him maintain a relevance that isn’t as recent as 10 years and he is in his own way through his style of music putting Ghana on the map which is a good thing but he has raised his concerns over a lack of support from the media and industry, in general, melted out to Ga’s which includes Shatta Wale, King Promise and famous comedia DKB.

Jupitar’s outburst came after Joy Prime tweeted about Stonebwoy’s show in Jamaica ‘Reggae Dancehall act @stonebwoy is billed to perform in Jamaica this weekend. The show dubbed Rebel Salute: The Preservation Of Reggae will host some of the biggest reggae acts all across the world. Stonebwoy is the only Ghanaian billed for the event’.

Jupitar would not take kindly the tweet as he feels the media house hasn’t been doing enough to put the same level of energy into promoting the craft of other artists who have equally been working hard. ‘Hypocrites .. we all need that energy and support… or why some of us no be Ghanaians? Fake industry. This whole industry is a setup and if you be “Ga” like myself, @shattawalegh, @IamKingPromise or @dkbghana etc certain kinda support you go suffer or you no go get kraaa no matter the effort.’

Jupitar’s tweet would start a wide range of commentary with some aligning with his thoughts of the industry not doing enough whilst some others feel such statements with tribal connotations could destabilize the unity in the industry and that he isn’t working hard enough to be promoted.
