    Former GFA Chairman, Alhaji Jawula dies aged 74

    Former GFA Chairman, Alhaji Jawula dies aged 74

    Alhaji MND Jawula, a former Chairman of the Ghana Football Association, has passed away at the age of 74. The renowned Ghanaian football administrator passed away in  in Nashville, United States.

    From 1997 until 2001, he served as the president of Ghana’s football regulating body.

    Alhaji Jawula presided over the 1995 Black Starlets squad that won the World Cup in Ecuador before ascending to the top of Ghana’s football hierarchy.

    From 2019 until his resignation, he presided over the management committee of the seven-member Ghana Premier League.

    Alhaji Jawula served on the Real Tamale United board of directors and the CAF Interclub Committee.

    He was also the Lepowura of the Kujolobite Gate of Lepo-Kpempe in the Northern Region in addition to playing football.
