The founder of the Power Chapel Worldwide, Rev. Victor Kusi Boateng, was treated like a “thief” by Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, a member of the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) communication staff, according to Hopeson Adorye.
Rev. Victor Kusi Boateng, who serves as the secretary of the board of trustees for the National Cathedral, has been charged by the MP of indulging in conflict of interest, having many identities, and other alleged criminal activities.
He claims that Rev. Kusi-Boateng moved GH2.6 million from the National Cathedral Secretariat to JNS Talent Centre Limited, a business he owns under the name Kwabena Adu Gyamfi.
“what he (Ablakwa) is doing should not be tolerated…is the law on privacy not working in this country? why should you publish his passports, others?? put everything in the public domain…why is he Ataa Ayi? What he did is wrong. How can you publish someone’s personal details? Let us all condemn it…”
Adorye, who previously had a position in the National Security Ministry, revealed his situation on the Boiling Point program on Oman FM in Accra, a program he frequently appears on.
The former parliamentary candidate decided to rely on God for survival after losing his job.
“God will cater for us, we will eat, uncle (referring to the show host), God has got us,” Adorye said. “How we toiled in opposition for Akufo-Addo to come to power, we will do the same for Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen to come.”
He described how his dismissal was announced to him and the rationale given for it, emphasizing that he will still live despite what he views as a backstab.
“I’m not a zombie, uncle, I was told that my support is not towards a particular camp so I should be dismissed, I have been dismissed. ‘Your appointment has been terminated with immediate effect.’ That is why I am stressing that God will cater for us, we will never die.”
Adorye added that he was certain his sack letter did not emanate from the National Security Minister Albert Kan-Dapaah.
“I have left it all to God, we won’t sleep hungry. I know it is not my minister who will do this, Kan-Dapaah will not do this. But from what I am hearing, I pity those who issued the instruction.”
The fact that Adorye supports Kyerematen publicly has not been a secret, and it would appear that not even the threat of losing his job would deter him from doing so.
