Following a bus collision with an immobilized vehicle on the Kumasi-Offinso Highway, two adult males have been confirmed dead and eleven more are being treated in hospitals.

A defective articulator truck with the registration number AS 1756-X was parked on the side of the road at Denase near Kodie when a KIA GranBird bus with the registration number WR 621-17 was traveling from Zebilla to Kumasi.

The two unnamed male adults, who were between the ages of 33 and 40, passed away instantly.

The St. Patrick Hospital at Offinso is now admitting 11 additional bus passengers.

The incident is said to have taken place on Friday morning at about six o’clock.

The Kodie Police have started an inquiry into the event and have started looking for the operator of the defective truck.

The cars were towed to the Kodie Police department.

The St. Patrick Hospital mortuary has also received the deceased’s bodies for identification.

However, the remaining travelers were able to continue their journey.
