The Asiedu Nketia – Fifi Kwetey leadership of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has raised fees to be paid if interested in the Flagbearership position of the party to GH¢530,000.
The payment consist of picking up forms which goes for GH¢30,000 while the filing fees goes for GH¢500,000.
However women and people with disabilities who choose to pick up forms to contest, would be responsible for paying ONLY 50% of all fees.
At a news conference in Accra, NDC General Secretary Fifi Kwetey explained that all constituencies will hold both the presidential and parliamentary elections.
The opposition political party will be accepting nominations from February 22 through February 24. Applications must be submitted between March 20 and March 24.
All candidates will be screened from March 27 to 29.
The 227 polling places, including the National Headquarters and SALL, will hold the election on May 13, 2023, according to the party’s schedule.
On the Parliamentary side, an amount of GH $5,000, for forms will be charged starting on Monday, February 22 through Sunday, February 24, 2023 on the party website. From March 20 through March 22, forms will be submitted for a fee of GH 40,000. The aspirants’ vetting will thereafter take place from March 27 through March 29.
