Alleged Meek Mill’s phone thief given GH¢50,000 bailout – An Accra circuit court has released on bail a 33-year-old scrap dealer who is accused of stealing the phone belonging to American rapper Meek Mill. The bail amount is 15,000 Ghana cedis, and the court requires two sureties.

The alleged perpetrator of the theft, Nuhu Sule, is currently on trial before the court presided over by Samuel Bright Acquah.

In accordance with the terms of the bail, the sureties have to be members of the public sector.

On February 6, 2023, he is scheduled to make another appearance.

After the victim, Meek Mill, claimed that his phone had been taken in Accra on December 29, 2022, Sule was eventually apprehended on Friday, December 30, 2022, at his hideout in Accra.

The rapper recanted his claim that the phone was stolen during his trip to Ghana for this year’s Afro Nation music festival on December 31. He said that he was misinformed about what happened.

“They snatched my phone out of my pocket without my permission SMH….

“Bring that Jawn back if you’ve got it!!” he posed in the caption of his Instagram story.

On Friday (December 30), the phone was located by the Ghana Police and given back to the rapper. At the same time, the Ghana Police disclosed that they had detained a suspect by the name of Nuhu Sule.

Though, Meek Mill after getting his phone, pleaded the police should free the suspect but the Ghana Police Service declined his plead
